In addition to astaxanthin, which I wrote about in a previous post, wild salmon is also a great source of omega 3 fatty acids. The omega 3 fatty acids found in fish oil are EPA/ eicosapentaenoic acid and DHA/ docosahexaenoic acid. As a board certified nutritionist in Scottsdale, AZ, I have seen people improve their well being and human performance by incorporating wild salmon into there diet a few times a week.
